Copper Nickel Alloys

Copper Nickel Alloys

Copper-nickel alloys contain copper as their main element and nickel as their strengthening element. Elements like iron and manganese are often used as their alloying elements.

They are also called as cupronickel alloys. These dynamic and highly powerful grades are used majorly in technological development. Nickel and copper are soluble in grain structure, and the resultant grain structure becomes almost homogeneous. They provide extreme strength, corrosion resistance and adequate ductility. Various shapes and forms can be obtained from cupronickel grades. They are readily fabricated into various product forms and fittings. They are mainly used in marine industries, chemical industries and electrical industries.
